Highland Cows

You can see Highland cows or ‘Heilan Coos’ (Scots) near Edinburgh in a small field at Swanston Farm, located about 6 miles south of the city center in the Pentland Hills. You can get there from the City Centre using the excellent Lothian Bus service, the No. 4, No. 15 or No. 27.

If you are feeling more adventurous Highland Cows can be seen roaming free in the Pentland Hills further up the hill from the farm.
